Who We areA Yorkshire Forward funded initiative, with additional support from both UK and European agencies, the Centre provides access to a major design resource covering a comprehensive range of disciplines key to modern-day lean design and manufacturing techniques, from initial concept to final product. Through the application of groundbreaking technologies, state-of-the-art software packages and an "out of the box" approach to design, development and manufacture, the centre helps companies to develop new, more efficient processes to bring products to market more quickly, of a better standard and more cost-effectively than ever before. Its involvement across a broad range of manufacturing industries ranges from short one-off consultancy aimed at solving a specific problem to long-term involvement in applied research projects, many for "blue chip" technological leaders.
